Biznable
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Biznable handles personal data, business records, account information, and visitor data across our website, application, and related services.
Last updated: 2 July 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the public Biznable website, the Biznable web application, the Biznable backend services, and related product environments, including biznable.com, app.biznable.com, and api.biznable.com.
Biznable is built to help businesses manage operational information such as staff access, customers, suppliers, records, workflows, enquiries, and related business activity. Because this information may include personal data, we handle it with care, purpose limitation, access control, and accountability.
In this Policy, "Biznable", "we", "us", and "our" mean Biznable. "User", "you", and "your" mean visitors, account holders, business owners, staff members, administrators, customers, suppliers, and other persons whose personal data may be processed through the Services.
1. Who controls your data
For account, website, billing, product usage, support, and marketing data, Biznable acts as the data controller because we determine why and how that information is processed.
For business records uploaded, entered, or managed by a customer inside the Biznable application, the customer is generally the data controller and Biznable acts as a data processor or service provider. This means the customer decides what data is entered into the product, who may access it, and how it should be used within the available product features.
Data protection enquiries may be sent to hello@biznable.com.
2. Information we collect
We may collect and process the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, business name, email address, phone number, password credentials, role, permissions, and account settings.
- Business profile information: business category, country, registration details, tax or VAT status, legal structure, address, branding, and other business setup details.
- Operational business data: customer records, supplier records, staff records, inventory information, transaction notes, tasks, documents, reports, and other information entered into the Biznable application.
- Payment and subscription information: plan type, billing status, invoices, payment references, and limited payment metadata. We do not intentionally store full card numbers where payment is handled by a regulated payment provider.
- Support and communication data: enquiries, support tickets, feedback, emails, forms, call notes, and messages sent to us.
- Technical and device data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, referring pages, timestamps, error logs, security logs, and app usage events.
- Cookie and analytics data: information collected through cookies, local storage, analytics tools, and similar technologies, where used.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data unless it is required for a specific feature, required by law, or entered by a business customer into its own workspace. Customers should avoid entering sensitive data unless it is necessary for their lawful business purpose.

5. Lawful basis for processing
We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so. Depending on the context, our lawful basis may include:
- Contract: where processing is necessary to provide the Services, manage your account, process subscriptions, or deliver support.
- Consent: where you agree to a specific use, such as optional marketing, non-essential cookies, or certain product communications.
- Legal obligation: where we must process or retain information to comply with applicable laws, tax rules, accounting duties, court orders, or regulator requests.

- Vital interest or public interest: where processing is necessary in rare cases to protect a person or comply with an overriding public-interest requirement.
6. Business customer data
Biznable customers may enter information about their own customers, suppliers, staff, transactions, inventory, and operations. That information belongs to the relevant customer workspace and is controlled by that customer, subject to the product terms and applicable law.
Biznable does not sell customer workspace data. We process that data to provide the Services, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, support authorized users, comply with lawful instructions, and meet legal obligations.
Business customers are responsible for making sure they have the right to upload, store, and process any personal data they enter into Biznable.
7. Cookies and tracking technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, analytics tools, and similar technologies to operate the website and application, remember preferences, protect accounts, measure performance, and improve the Services.
Necessary cookies are used for core functionality such as login, security, session management, network stability, and accessibility. Where we use non-essential cookies, analytics, marketing cookies, or tracking tools, we will request consent where required by law.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings or through any cookie controls provided on our website. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Services work.
8. How we share information
We may share information with:
- authorized workspace users, based on the roles and permissions set inside a business account;
- service providers that help us host infrastructure, process payments, send emails, provide analytics, monitor errors, manage support, or secure the Services;
- professional advisers, including lawyers, auditors, accountants, insurers, and compliance advisers;
- law enforcement, courts, regulators, or public authorities, where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or legal interests;
- business transfer parties, where we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection safeguards.
We do not sell personal data. We do not allow third parties to use customer workspace data for their own independent marketing purposes.
9. International data transfers
Biznable may use infrastructure, vendors, or service providers located outside your country. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take steps designed to protect it in line with applicable data protection law. These steps may include contractual safeguards, security measures, transfer assessments, vendor due diligence, and reliance on lawful transfer mechanisms.
Where Nigerian data protection law applies, cross-border transfers will be handled in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and any applicable regulatory guidance.
10. How we protect information
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data and business records against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
These measures may include:
- role-based access controls;
- authentication and session controls;
- password protection and credential safeguards;
- encryption in transit where supported;
- restricted administrative access;
- logging and monitoring of security-relevant activity;
- backup, recovery, and service-continuity practices;
- vendor review and access limitation;
- internal policies for handling personal and business data.
No system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe, using strong passwords, limiting staff access, and promptly removing users who should no longer have access to your workspace.
11. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, backup, dispute-resolution, or regulatory reasons.
Account data is generally retained while your account remains active. Business workspace data is retained while the relevant customer account or subscription remains active, unless deleted earlier by an authorized user or retained for a lawful reason.
Backup copies may remain for a limited period after deletion because of technical backup and disaster-recovery processes. Where deletion is not immediately possible, we restrict further processing where appropriate.
12. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law and any valid limitations, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading data;
- request deletion of personal data where there is no lawful reason to keep it;
- request restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
- object to processing, including processing for direct marketing;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- request a portable copy of your personal data where applicable;
- object to certain automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects;
- lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
To exercise your rights, contact us at hello@biznable.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
If your request relates to data controlled by a Biznable customer, we may direct you to that customer or assist the customer in responding to your request, as required by law and our agreement with the customer.
13. Marketing communications
We may send product updates, educational content, offers, or business communications where permitted by law or where you have consented to receive them.
You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. Even after opting out, we may still send service messages, security alerts, billing notices, legal notices, and account-related communications.
14. Children's privacy
Biznable is designed for businesses and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us without proper authority, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
15. Automated processing
Biznable may use automated systems to support security monitoring, fraud prevention, product analytics, account protection, error detection, and workflow features. We do not intentionally make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals unless permitted by law, necessary for a contract, or based on valid consent.
16. Data breaches
If we become aware of a personal data breach, we will assess the nature, scope, risk, and likely impact of the incident. Where required by law, we will notify the appropriate regulator, affected customers, or affected individuals.
Business customers must promptly notify us if they become aware of unauthorized access, misuse, or suspected compromise involving their Biznable account, workspace, staff access, or credentials.
17. Third-party links and services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites, integrations, payment providers, or external services. Their privacy practices are not controlled by Biznable. You should review their privacy notices before using those services.
18. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect legal, technical, business, or product changes. When we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as by updating the date above, posting a notice in the application, or sending an email where appropriate.
Continued use of the Services after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means the updated Policy applies to your use of the Services from that date.
